Materials & Italian craftsmanship

Every ALEMI bag begins with Italian leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group.

Stainless Steel – Polished stainless steel. Durable, tarnish-resistant, and gentle on the leather it accompanies.

The hardware is nickel-free and finished with a protective coating, so it keeps its shine for years. We design every bag in Switzerland and have it handmade in Varese, Northern Italy – in the same small atelier we have worked with since 2020, run by two brothers who care about the details as much as we do.

How long is the chain, and which bags does it fit?

The GOLD CHAIN is 117 cm long and not adjustable. It is made of stainless steel with a gold finish and fits BELVOIR, HELVETIA and CLUTCH.

How quickly will my order arrive, and what does shipping cost?

Standard delivery to Germany and Austria is free and takes 1–5 business days. Express arrives in 1–3 business days for 15 EUR to Germany and 19 EUR to Austria. Orders placed Monday to Friday before 10:00 CET leave our warehouse the same day as an insured, tracked parcel. All details are on our Shipping & Delivery page.

Can I return my bag?

Yes. You have 30 days after delivery to register a return in our Returns Portal. The item needs to be unused and complete, with its dust bag, strap and tags. Bring it to our store at Brienner Str. 7 in Munich free of charge, or send it with the prepaid label for 9 EUR, which is deducted from your refund. Everything else is on our Returns & Refunds page.

Is there a warranty?

Every ALEMI bag comes with a 2-year warranty and our Lifetime Repair Service. Whether it's a small fix or a long-term touch-up, write to info@alemi-zurich.com and we'll take care of it.

How do I care for my bag?

When you're not using it, keep your bag in its dust bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Grained leather stays supple with our Natural Leather Milk; suede needs no creams, only a soft suede brush. Our Leather Care Guide covers each leather in detail.
